Description Radu B. Rusu 2011-05-05 20:00:33 UTC
We've been working on creating installer binaries for Eigen (Windows, MacOS, Linux) for the purpose of simplifying the life of PCL 1.0 potential users.

With that in mind, would it be possible to integrate (and possibly refine) the following patch into the next release of Eigen:
http://svn.pointclouds.org/pcl/trunk/3rdparty/eigen/ ?

We've been using CPack to successfully generate binaries. We're currently hosting them at http://dev.pointclouds.org/projects/pcl/files and www.pointclouds.org/downloads.html, but maybe you want to host them on your web page too (after they are done?). If you need access to our virtual machines to help generate the binaries, we can help with that.

Thank you in advance!

Cheers,
Radu.

why not, though ideally, this work should be done by the distros. In theory I should be able to generate packages for these OS: http://pipol.inria.fr/os/

Great, thanks Gael! That looks fantastic.

Right now we're providing binary installers for Eigen on our web pages (http://www.pointclouds.org/downloads.html), but we would like to link to yours instead :) Less work for us! ;)
